Bobby Leon Lazenby was born January 3, 1934, in Ola, Arkansas. He was the son of Carl Lazenby and Elva Breashears Lazenby.
He departed this life in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 4, 2021. He was 87 years old.
Bob graduated from Carlsbad New Mexico High School and then proudly served his country for 2 years in the United States Army.
On August 16, 1962, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Jane Ellen Markey. They celebrated 59 years of marriage.
He worked in the mines of New Mexico and then went to work as manager with Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Bob loved life. He was a huge people person. He also loved sports - all kinds. Whether it was winning regional bowling tournaments, coaching summer baseball league in Carlsbad or cheering on high school athletes in Caruthersville, he was a fan. Bob and Jane Ellen moved to Caruthersville in 1998 and he adopted the Caruthersville Tigers as his team. He was even awarded his varsity C letter by the school.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Ellen Lazenby; two brothers: Joe Lazenby (Carole) & Roy Lazenby (Linda); other relatives including nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services Friday, September 17th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Dr. James Adams officiating.
