Ashley Kristine Littleton Carson, born on April 29, 1983, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on April 6, 2025, in Memphis, TN at the age of 41.
Ashley served her country with honor in the United States Army, receiving numerous awards for her exceptional service, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Freedom Campaign Medal, and Army Service Ribbon. Her honorable discharge was granted at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Ashley possessed an extraordinary personality, always ready to meet and engage with people. She had a knack for talking to anyone and was known as a "fixer," adept at repairing electronics and on some occasions people.
Her knowledge of pop culture was vast, spanning song titles and movies. Additionally, she cherished the opportunity to spend time with family especially her nieces and nephews. Traveling was a passion of hers, and the military provided numerous avenues for her to explore new places.
Memphis Tigers and Atlanta Braves held a special place in her heart. Ashley was a student at the University of Memphis and was always keeping up with the Braves. Ashley was always called "Sissy" while growing up by her brother and sisters. Her greatest joy was being affectionately known as "Aunt Sissy" to her nieces and nephews.
Surviving her are her parents: Mark and Margaret Littleton, residing in Caruthersville, Missouri; her grandparents: Willie Duncan also of Caruthersville, Missouri, Darrell & Brenda Littleton of Hayti, Missouri, and Thomas & Kathy Duncan of Cloverdale, Indiana; three siblings: Amanda Gordon & her husband Tim of Caruthersville, Missouri, John Christopher Littleton & his wife Cari of Portageville, Missouri, and Amber Littleton of Kennett, Missouri; her uncle and aunt: Jeff and Allyson Duncan, along with their children Jodi & Drew of Mumford TN, Robert and Jennifer Young, and their daughter Ryleigh of Hayti, MO. The family includes two nieces: Brynley and Sloane Gordon (Amanda & Tim); and two nephews: Kyson and Kipton Littleton (Chris & Cari). Additionally, she loved animals especially her sister's dogs: Moose, Maggie and Muppet (Amber); and her mom and dad's dog: Buddy. She always had treats for all when visiting; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel, with Brother Dave Lewelling officiating.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
