Alma Odom Obituary
Alma Odom was born October 11, 1931, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert (Bob) Odom and Flossie Odom.
She departed this life on June 9, 2022, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was 90 years old.
Alma worked for the Brown Shoe Company for 46 years. She was the service operator in the fitting department.
Alma loved life. She especially loved children. She was known to just about everyone as "Mema". Even when the nurses that were helping take care of her asked her name, she told them Mema. She was a wonderful cook and loved sharing her cooking especially mashed potatoes and green beans.
She was a very faithful member of Temple Baptist Church until her health began not letting her attend.
She is survived by her granddaughter: Paige Odom of Caruthersville, Missouri; four great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Chandler, Tristen, and Cordie; one great great grandson: Blayze; one sister: Shirley Werrnick; a very special friend: Rhea Bruce; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son (Mike Odom), four brothers, and two sisters.
Memorial services were held at Temple Baptist Church with Brother Jim Pilcher officiating.
